I was karting today and say that the old karts from the track are for sale. They have 9hp engines,no gears. They are selling them for 4 to 5 hundred euro and i was just wondering do people think it is a waste of money to buy one or what? If i buy one i would re-paint and do it up over the winter so what do people think? Thanks in advance:)

Depends on the track and the price but yeah, generally I wouldn't recommend it. Tracks will get as much use out of their karts before selling them on and one of the first things to go will be the engine output. Effectively, you'll be buying a kart that passed its prime and can only get worse.
