Hi Peter.
Great to hear from you.
We'll definitely let you know when we next organise something. Keep watching the forum as we usually post new events on here.
Alternatively, if you hear of anything going on then let us know. Just maybe not at Lakeside for a while though, eh? ![]()
You were pretty quick - I followed you round for the last 6 or 7 laps and struggled to find a way past. Every time I got a run on you another yellow flag popped out and I had to back off.
How long have you been racing?

Hi guys, I've been racing for around the last 10 years, started off in the mini motos and then went onto buy my own kart which I raced up Tilbury and Buckmore b4 going on to organised events, only recently sold my Max due to not going out on it as much and prefering to use and abuse the track karts! LOL.
You think I was quick at Lakeside then you should see me in a MAX! (or so the wife says) Rye house holds a arrive and drive with Rotax Max's for an hour session, for around £130, maybe at some point we can all get together for a fun drive B4 we choose an event???
Haven't really had a look at the karting websites for any future events, although I know Lakeside always have them. Ill keep you posted if I hear anything.
Why dont you want to go back to Lakeside just yet?

Did any of you manage to get into the NKA competition last year?

Hi mate, if you used to race at Tilbury you might know another guy on the forum. Adam Denley goes under the name Gyfto in here and he keeps inviting me down to Tilbury for a test day but I haven't been able to take him up on it yet.

I thought you must have been racing a while ![]()
I don't want to go back there yet for 3 reasons:
1) that last meeting wasn't very well organised - they didn't even know what race we'd all booked in for!
2) The karts are seriously knackered which means it's a bit of lottery as to wether you get a good one or not.
3) I'd like to try some other tracks out.
Ellough Park in Beccles is one, and I'd like to try out the new track at Red Lodge. I'd also like to get to Buckmore Park before I race there with Club100 later this year, but money means that I have to pick and choose my races carefully so it may not be possible.
I only started racing this year and I don't have my own kart (and probably never will). I'm in it mainly for Club100 but due to the large wait between races I do the odd arrive and drive with Thrashed aswell.

Hi M8,
Not sure I know a Adam but may do if I see the face!
I fully agree with you on the subject of Lakesides knacked karts, its def time for them to renew ASAP. I know Buckmore park had some new additions this year so ill keep an eye out for some future events with there newbies.
I did look into club100 a few years ago but never really took it any further, might have to have a look in2 it once again, how easy would you say it is to get in2 the Club100 races????

Very easy.
There's a yearly membership fee of £45, then each race meeting costs £145 to enter.
That's for the sprint series, endurance varies on how many members per team etc.
Both Andy (Mudflap) and myself do the sprint series.
In terms of track-time for money it's miles less than any normal arrive-and-drive races, but there's more to consider than track time with Club100. You get much better karts (not just faster but also the maintenance/preparation) and a much higher standard of opponent. It's still for fun but there's a strong competitive edge to it aswell.
Not that it's all good mind you - I had a terrible time at my first meeting (see the write-up) and I almost reconsidered doing any more races this year. The karts are direct drive so something as small as even a lock-up can effectively end your race. I'm just hoping that's something I can learn to avoid in the future as my driving improves, which it won't do if I run away from it.

yeah still here pete but we have been a bit quiet. Not much racing going on at the moment as we're all spread around now and a bit short on the old cash front. Will get something going soon though, since the weathers picked up.
